Police have recovered body of a woman tourist from a resort in Cox’s Bazar.
The deceased was known as Farzana, 23. Her fellow known as Sagor went into hiding.
Md Mohiuddin, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP-Cox’s Bazar Tourist Division), confirmed the matter around 5:00 pm on Tuesday (September 21).’
It was learned that they inked their addresses in entry book that they hailed from Chandina of Cumilla. Although there are doubts on whether the address is correct, said ASP Mohiuddin.
He said, “They got up ‘Aamari Resort’ before three days. As no response was made from inside, the authorities entered the room after breaking the lock and found Farzana dead. But her fellow Sagor disappeared.”
“Being informed hotel authorities, police rushed to the spot. The body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy,” he added.
“Taking legal steps in this connection was under process while the report was filed,” according to ASP Mohiuddin.
