Police have recovered the handcuffed body of Abdu Rashid, who was abducted by Rohingya armed terrorists from Olubania in Huaikeng, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
On Monday (May 25) morning, a man named Mostafiz was found with his limbs tied while hunting crabs in the Anjuman Canal between Huaikeng Ulubnia and Palangkhali in Ukhia Upazila. Later the police came and recovered the body.
The deceased has been identified as Abdur Rashid alias Sadeq, son of Mia Hossain of Katakhali East, who was abducted from a fishing ground on Sunday morning.
Huaiqing UP Chairman Principal Nur Ahmad Anwari confirmed the rescue of the body, saying the local UP member confirmed that the body of Abdu Rashid, who was abducted by Rohingyas, was found with handcuffs and head, nose and face injuries. Later the police will come and take the next step.
It may be mentioned that a group of self-armed Rohingya robbers came down from Mina Bazar from Huaikeng Katakhali hill area of the upazila at around 2.30 am on May 24. When the bandits started shouting, who wants to know from the west side of East Dhalubania Road, which is surrounded by fish, by lighting a torch light on Abdu Rashid alias Sadeq, son of Mia Hossain of Katakhali East? When the robbers got angry and attacked the besieged people, Idris fled with them. Then the robbers got angry and abducted Abdur Rashid.
