Four people were killed in a bus-microbus collision in Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong highway in Chizrari area of Aziznagar. At least five people were injured. A tragic accident occurred at 7:30 am today (March 3). The injured were admitted to Chakaria Health Complex and Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Police and witnesses said that a Cox-Bazar-bound passenger bus hit a Chittagong-bound microbus in front of a Shyamoli transport. Three people died on the spot and one died on the way to hospital. . On the way, when the bus reached Garmara area of Hibbang, there was a collision with another Noha microbus on the other side of the road to Chittagong on a Noha microbus overtake. Chakaria Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter, police said on the spot. Bus driver fled the scene after the incident. Two of the injured buses have been seized. The police are taking necessary measures.
