Drug dealer killed in ‘gunfight’ with BGB in Ukhiya

A Rohingya drug dealer was killed in a gunfight with the BGB at Palangkhali in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. At the time, 30,000 pieces of yaba, a weapon and two rounds of ammunition were recovered from the spot.

The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday (May 7) at the Rahmaterbil border in Palangkhali.

The identity of the deceased could not be immediately ascertained but he is believed to be a Rohingya.


Cox’s Bazar 34 BGB captain Lt. Colonel Ali Haider Azad Ahmed confirmed the information.
