Bangladesh confirms 9 more people have died from the novel coronavirus, taking the total count to 84 in the 24 hours to 8am on Saturday.
The number of infections crossed 2,000 after 306 new cases were detected in the same period, IEDCR Director Meerjady Sabrina Flora said on Saturday.The tally of confirmed cases in Bangladesh currently stands at 2,144.
Prof Dr Flora said, “The death toll due to coronavirus in Bangladesh reached 84 including nine deaths in the last 24 hours. Moreover, the total number of infected cases raised to 2,144 including 306 cases in the last 24 hours.”
Dr Nasima said, “A total of 2,114 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours across the country among which 306 came out positive. On the other hand, a total of 66 patients have been sent to their homes after recovery including the eight in the last 24 hours.”
