Cox’s Bazar collided with a dumper in Ukhiya, a microbus carrying an NGO worker. ten people were injured in the incident. All the injured were identified as employees of the NGO organization “Tai”.
The accident took place at 9am on the 1st of February (Thursday) in the Hijalia area of Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf road.
Locals said the car collided head-on with a Rohingya camp-based NGO company, Tai, and a dumper from the opposite direction. The NGO company, which came through the roadside, lost control of the car and fell into a nearby quarry. At that time all the NGO workers in the microbus were seriously injured. The injured were rushed to the hospital. The identity of the injured was not immediately known.
Asked about this, Ukhiya Police Station OC (Investigation) Nurul Islam Majumder said no news has been received about the road accident. Investigation into the matter is underway, he said.
